A symbiotic alien comes aboard Enterprise and captures several of the starship's officers in its web. Hoshi struggles to communicate with the alien invader in an attempt to save the trapped officers.

Summary
A symbiotic alien boards Enterprise, capturing a few of the crew members, including Archer and Trip. The alien entraps these officers in its web, feeding off their bodies to survive. Hoshi, under T'Pol's command, must decipher the alien's complex language in order to save her crewmates and return the creature to its home planet. Template:Pna-episode

- This marks the first time that an Earth ship uses a force field.
- The Kreetassan captain is the eleventh character played by Vaughn Armstrong. It is also the final new alien character he played.
